OAEM Educational Event Sponsorship Program

The O.A.E.M. shall consider acceptance of unrestricted educational grants through the Educational Event Sponsorship Program in accordance with the following Policy Guidelines:
  1. The goods and services promoted by the Sponsor shall be confluent with the OAEM Strategic Plan.
  2. The OAEM does not officially endorse Sponsor products, goods, or services by accepting a Sponsorship application.
  3. No Sponsor shall gain input into the design or content of the educational event program.
  4. In exchange for accepting Sponsorship, the OAEM will insure the sponsorship is recognized in all pre-event promotional materials. The Sponsor is also offered a five-minute delegate presentation as well as an opportunity to organize an on site exhibit, within Policy Guidelines.
  5. The OAEM shall offer no additional benefits of Sponsorship other than those described in this Policy.
  6. The OAEM Sponsorship Committee will accept and consider all sponsorship applications for approval.
  7. Sponsorship applications shall be available by request, or on line at www.oaem.ca.
  8. The OAEM encourages multiple sponsors for each event up to a maximum of six exhibits. The OAEM reserves the right to limit the number of sponsors at any single event due to space or logistics. Any exceptions shall be approved through the OAEM Board of Directors at the request of the Sponsorship Committee.
  9. Sponsor exhibits will be displayed outside of active workshop areas wherever possible and if not possible, at the rear of the workshop area. Any exceptions shall be approved through the OAEM Board of Directors at the request of the Sponsorship Committee.
  10. Displays will be staffed by Sponsors only during the pre workshop breakfast, lunch and break periods. Any exceptions shall be approved through the OAEM Board of Directors at the request of the Sponsorship Committee.
  11. Space, signage and display parameters are determined by the Sponsorship Committee and may vary from event to event. The Sponsorship Committee has right to reject any exhibit that does not fall within the Policy Guidelines.
  12. Sponsorship applications declined by the Sponsorship Committee may by appealed, by written notification from the Sponsor, to the President within fourteen days of receiving a notification of non-acceptance.
  13. During the duration of the pilot program, the OAEM Board of Directors may determine, by a two-thirds majority margin vote, to amend Policy Guidelines or completely discontinue the Educational Event Sponsorship Program.
  14. The minimum Sponsor pledge see attached form.
  15. One table of the six shall be assigned at no cost to a non-profit community or religious based NOG’s for the promotion of their services. If there is more then one group they must all share the same table. Members attending the workshops may also drop off promotional material and pamphlets at this table.
