City of Vaughan Council Resolution to Encourage Public Safety Canada Re-instate JEPP Program

Link to members resolution from Vaughan Council encouraging the Federal Government to reinstate cuts to JEPP and Public Safety Canada Programs

The City of Vaughan Council passed a members resolution brought forward by Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua to ask the Federal Government to reinstate the JEPP program.  The members resolution has been forwarded to the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety and to the Honourable Julian Fantino, Member of Parliament for the Vaughan.  I have included a link to Council Extracts for any Emergency Manager who is interested in engaging assistance from their Councils to encourage the Federal Government to rethink the recent cuts to Federal Emergency Management Programs.  http://www.vaughan.ca/vaughan/council/minutes_agendas/committee_2012/pdf/CWA0619_50.pdf
