I would like to thank everyone who attended the Gravenhurst Professional Developmment Session, "Business Continuity- What's in it for Me?". There was very good discussion with the presenters and within the group. It's that interaction which makes the PD Sessions so valuable, the networking potential which exists helps everyone. Coming out to support your PD Sessions shows us what interests you and assists the PD Committee in directing what future PD Sessions will consist of. A special thanks to our presenters; Amanda Maula from the City of Brampton, Karrie Robertson from Canadian Tire Corp. and Malcolm Smeaton from DRI Canada.
Please make plans to join us in Guelph, Friday, February, 3rd where the PD Session will be held at the Clair Road Emergency Services Centre. This session will focus on emergency concerns within the agriculture sector. There will be more information to follow on this session in the New Year.
I wish a Happy and Safe Holiday Season to Everyone!
Kevin Spencer,
Professional Development Chair
Ontario Association of Emergency Managers
