Emergency Education in Ontario
A number of emergency management education programs are currently recognized by the Ontario Association of Emergency Managers (OAEM). All programs presented below were reviewed by the OAEM Board of Directors and confirmed as programs providing education consistent with generally accepted principles of emergency management. Some programs are provided in Ontario while others are provided to Ontarians as distance education programs.

STUDENT AWARDS PROGRAM
The association offers a number of annual awards to students living or studying in Ontario and enrolled in emergency management or related fields. The awards include a financial reward, a certificate and recognition by OAEM.
The program is open to emergency management students living in Ontario regardless of the institution where they are studying, or emergency management students enrolled in an Ontario educational institution but residing out of province.
Membership in OAEM is not a requirement for obtaining the award.
