The Ontario Association of Emergency Managers supports the training, education and professional development of its professional and student members through a number of OAEM sponsored training and learning opportunities and by providing information on training and education opportunities.  Some of the key points are noted below with more details provided in the menu items on the left. 

• An Education and Awards Committee has been established to develop, manage and continuously improve our training and education programs

• The Learning Opportunities part of our program provides  a discussion forum in the member's section for sharing training and other learning opportunities and needs
   
• Our Professional Development program provides a series of professional development workshops and other training opportunities. All scheduled professional development workshops, training courses and other training opportunities are listed in the events calendar.   Registration forms for training courses and workshops are in the Join Us section. A record of professional development workshops is recorded in the PD Workshops blog in the member's section.
   
• OAEM supports the PTSC-Online Students sectioin where Canadian emergency management students are provided with a student blog, a journal discussion blog for discussing academic papers and an employment blog.
   
• An awards and recognition program is encourage students and recognize academic and other accomplishments of our members. See the Awards and Recognition blog channel for details. 
   
• A mentorship program is currently under development 

• Our OAEM-Online community provides the technology to enable networking for many aspects of our programs
