Student Board Member Call

OAEM is seeking a new Student Board Member for 2023!

OAEM is looking for a Student Board Member who will serve from January 2023 to January 2024. Joining the OAEM Board is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in Ontario’s emergency management professional association – enhancing student engagement and cultivating the next generation of emergency managers. Interested?

Some responsibilities include:

Oversees the management of the Student Subcommittee
Assists in coordinating student events and surveys
Serves as the OAEM liaison within the broader emergency management student population
Assists with the Student Mentorship Program
Participation in monthly OAEM Board Meetings

Send a brief expression of interest and a copy of your resume (Word or .pdf format only) to education@oaem.ca no later than Friday, February 10, 2023
Be a current OAEM Student Member enrolled in emergency management and/or business continuity related academic studies on a full-time basis at a recognized post-secondary institution in Ontario (or within Canada if a remote/hybrid program) or a student intern
