OAEM STUDENT ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE 
The OAEM Student Engagement Committee (SEC) supports an emerging workforce in the rapidly growing field of emergency management and business continuity; a unique profession that spans multi-disciplines, multi-sectors and multi-generations! Get involved, interact and connect. OAEM is seeking emerging emergency management and business continuity professionals to join the Student Engagement Committee (SEC); an important opportunity to get involved and interact with Canada’s largest emergency management and business continuity professional association.
Some responsibilities include:

- Participating in monthly Student Engagement Committee meetings
- Meaningful engagement in a wide variety of Board activities
- Serving as an OAEM ambassador by promoting association initiatives at post-secondary institutions and emergency management student networks across Ontario
- Supporting ‘In Your Community’ member outreach and student-focused events
- Identifying student supports and professional development needs

- Be a current OAEM Student Member enrolled in emergency management and/or business continuity related academic studies on a full-time basis at a recognized post-secondary institution in Ontario (or within Canada if a remote/hybrid program) or a student intern.
